Catching up for the summer
(Apparently, I drafted this post at the beginning of August and never posted it. I'm finding it on November 9... Back-dating FTW!)
And again, I've been a bad blogger. I hate to publish any posts without pictures, and I'm just not on our computer very much lately! I'm on the computer all day at work, so when I get home I'd rather do other things, or I just use my iPad.
Well, here's what's been going on since I last posted at the end of April.

Well, here's what's been going on since I last posted at the end of April.
- We went to Colorado Springs for the CCU staff retreat. We got to stay at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort (for free!) and we could bring Kingsley. It was nice to meet all of Jason's coworkers, and the best part was when we had a break and Jason and I got to walk around the lake they had on site. So beautiful!
- We found a new church! We've been attending Bloom Church, and we love it. Our friends James and Loren have been going there too, and it's really fun to get to see them more regularly. We're thankful to have found a new place to go!
- My parents came to visit! We had an absolutely wonderful time with them. Full details to come in its own post, because I have some awesome pictures to share.
- Right after my parents left (like 12 hours), I went up to Vail for work for our Healthy Schools Leadership Retreat. It was SO much fun, and it went so well! Work paid for everything, and it was such a nice treat to be in such a beautiful place for work. I love my job!!
- Glenn and Karen came to visit! It was so nice to get to see both our parents this summer. We had a lot of fun with them, and we even got to go on a hike. Pictures to come!
- We celebrated Jason's 28th birthday with Indian food and pie! of course. It was great to celebrate another wonderful year of his life, and I surprised him with his gift. Woohoo! I usually give it away long before I give him his presents because I get too excited haha.
- As far as our house, we've been doing a ton of work! We painted our bedroom and the office. We got a new couch. We transformed a closet into a book nook. We put up curtains and art, etc. Hopefully I will have some new pictures to show. So much of the house will be "in progress" for so long that I hesitate to show it now, yanno? Anyway, I will post some progress pictures.
- Also, this was my first summer EVER to work (aside from summer jobs). And you know what? I loved it. The stress is so much more spread out at my new job that I don't need 2 months off to forget all the abuse before I can go back and do it again.
Coming up, we have a wedding in Saint Louis next weekend, which I am so excited about! We get to go to Adam's wedding, plus see Jason's grandma and his parents, and we get to eat all the Saint Louis food that we love. Soooo looking forward to Ted Drewe's and Imo's and all the delicious things.
