2013 Goals
2013 Goals
1. Leave work at work (including stress)
2. Make 4 quilts
3. Hike a 14er
4. Build strength & stay the same size
5. Read 30+ books
6. Don't be lazy
Leaving work at work is something that I think I will be able to accomplish in my new job! I haven't posted about it yet, but I am really loving my job. And I do think that I need more balance in my life related to job stress.
I made something new almost every month last year. I know there is a lot of change coming in this year, so I wanted to set a goal of just 4 quilts. At least 2 out of the 4 will be baby quilts for friends that are expecting. ;)
Hiking a 14er! This is a goal that Jason has, and I am happily jumping in with him. This is our 4th year in Colorado, and it is also going to be there year we hike a 14er. We are going to start little hikes on the weekend to get ready.
Building strength and staying the same size. I love having a more consistent fitness routine. I'm working on a body weight strength program right now. I don't really want or need to lose any more weight, I just want to build up my strength and stay the same size so I don't have to buy any more clothes.
Book goal! Wow, I sucked at reading this year. So I'm setting my goal low for 2013 so that I can make it this year!
Finally, don't be lazy. This goal encompasses a lot of different things... Last year I was trying to work on putting things away and turning off lights. I STILL need to work on those things. But I also need to work on taking better care of our home, getting a better night time routine, and picking up as I go rather than all at once on the weekend. So I've rolled all of this into one goal: Don't Be Lazy. So far, I've been picking up every night before we go to bed and I've got a good kitchen routine and I'm keeping it really clean! I will continue to add more onto this as I get some of the parts down... For now, I'm thrilled with how the kitchen is lately. I need a better nighttime routine, so that is what I will add next.
This is what I'll be working on this year! I think I can achieve all of this, and that all of it will improve me as a person. What are you going to work on this year?
