Christmas Recap

Christmas was so wonderful this year! We celebrated early with Jason's family when his parents were here for Thanksgiving. We decorated our townhouse really fast to have all the festive decorations up the day after Thanksgiving. It was so much fun having everyone at our house for Christmas, even though it was super early.

Our next Christmas event was down in Texas with my family! We drove down to DFW last Saturday and spent a few days there. On Sunday of course we went to church and saw my church family, then our friends Kyle & Liz drove in from Abilene to spend the afternoon and evening with us! We went out to Grapevine to see Carlee perform in her seasonal job, the North Pole Express. We even got to ride the train after Carlee's little performance.

We had Christmas on Christmas Eve with my immediate family and Papaw! He drove from Abilene to come see us for Christmas, and it was so good to see him. He gave us lottery tickets with our presents, as usual. I love that about him. I won $2!

Sweet Daddy with Kingsley

It ended up being a white Christmas even though we were in Texas! We were all absolutely thrilled about it, but it did start out as just a really big storm. Someone was not too excited about it. Aaaaand that was Kingsley. He really hates going out in the rain, and he threw a little fit about it. By sitting in the rain in Sadie's raincoat and being defiant about going to the bathroom. So of course instead of going out there and helping him, I grabbed the camera and took pictures. And of course, as soon as Jason came out, Kingsley cooperated. That's how these things work!

We had a wonderful Christmas, but it's also so nice to be home. Jason goes back to work on Wednesday, then I go back to my old job for a couple of days the following Monday. Then my new job!! It's a fun season for us, and we are enjoying it!
