Colorado Weekend with Kyle & Liz!
We have some fantastic friends, both here and far away. It is especially wonderful when we get to see our friends from far away!
Kyle and Elizabeth came to visit last weekend! They drove up on Thursday and stayed until Monday. We had three full days together and it was so much fun. I'm going to do a run down of what we did (to help me remember later!) and add a few pictures for you to enjoy!
Friday: Breakfast at French Press, everyone freaked out over the bennies, drive to downtown, park on 16th st, walk walk walk, H&M!!!, shopping for dresses, futile belt search, Tattered Cover, walking back, back to the house, nap time, out for dinner, sushi appetizer, Baker St. for dinner, back to the house to watch Sherlock!
Saturday: Breakfast at home, drive to get DayQuil and sleds, drive up to Evergreen and wow them with the view (you're not getting a pic, because I love to take people up there!), go ice skating on Evergreen Lake for 20 minutes because it was 50 degrees, skated all the way across the lake in the crazy wind, drive into downtown Evergreen, eat at BeauJo's (overrated!), ask a kid for a sledding hill, drive 10 mins to Kittredge and find an EPIC sledding hill, sled!, drive home exhausted through Morrison, look at Red Rocks, go home, nap time, order Indian food, finish Sherlock, start Arrested Development, have to go buy ice cream sandwiches.
Sunday: Pancakes for breakfast, decide on a whim to go to IKEA, drive to Centennial, guys survive in IKEA for 20 minutes, then bail and go to guitar center. Liz and I shop around, and they end up getting a coffee table. I got candles, and a lantern I've been drooling over. Go home because Jason was getting sick. Take Kyle & Liz to Whole Foods for the first time ever! Eat lunch at Atlanta Bread Co. Make snacks and watch the Oscars! Enjoy a lovely evening with friends.
It was so amazing to be back with Kyle & Liz again. They are the sort of friends where it seems like no time has passed. We have so much in common with them and we're at the same stage of life. I love them so much! Here are a few pictures to reward you for all those words!
