Projects around the house

Hi! Yes, we're alive! Since we finished painting our new place, we've moved into it. We also finally got our old apartment cleaned out yesterday. Hallelujah, it feels great to be done with that! Now I feel like I can focus on our new home. We are so excited about our new townhouse because it's the first place that we've felt like we can really make our own. Yes, we're still renting, but since Jason's parents own the townhouse, we can do more than we would in an apartment and we are (tentatively) planning on staying here more long term, as long as our jobs are still within a reasonable distance. We LOVE the area, and of course, so does Kingsley. He loves staring out the front door all day and going on walks in the park that is less than a block down the street.

Kingsley looking out the door. And barking. Always.

So now that we're settled in (got the last piece of furniture in here today, my desk!), we've started talking about the projects we want to do here. I thought since I haven't been posting a lot lately, that I could put up a list of our projects and mark them off as we tackle them. Hopefully as we finish projects, I will take pictures and show you!
  • Reprint Radiohead poster
  • Put up Radiohead poster
  • Add new things for travel wall
  • Put up travel wall
  • Recover dining chairs
  • Buy new sheets for the guest room
  • Find and put up art for the guest room
  • Shadow boxes for the living room
  • Find a bird for the shadow boxes
  • Buy speaker stands
  • Shorter baskets for organizing pup's stuff, shoes, library books, etc.
  • Baskets for shelves in bathroom
  • New seating for the living room
  • Put up art in bedroom
I think that's it for now, but I'm sure this list will grow as things get crossed off!

When I read "find a bird for shadow box," I got this mental image of you and Jason climbing up trees and trying to pounce on birds... It definitely made me giggle!
