The Doctor is back!
For this Media Monday, I have to write about Doctor Who. I absolutely adore The Doctor... and the sixth season just premiered this past Saturday! The first four seasons are on Netflix instant watch as well! I highly recommend watching it if you are at all interested in sci-fi. It became my favourite show almost immediately. I am now a giant Doctor Who freak. Love it.
Anyway, the show has been on since 1963, but I've just watched the modern reboot that started in 2005. It's fantastic! I've got a video trailer for the first 5 seasons I want to show you, but first I should explain who The Doctor is. Or at least show you. The Doctor, an alien from Galifrey called a Timelord, is a time traveler. The neat thing about The Doctor is that he doesn't die, he regenerates. Which means the show can go on forever, with a different actor playing the Doctor every couple of seasons. The 2005 series picks up with number nine.
This is Nine.
And this is Ten.
And now this is Eleven.
