6 years!
Aw man, I do this EVERY year. I missed my anniversary again. Most of you reading this have known me for years, so you know the story. Six years ago, right around March 24, 2005, I was diagnosed with a blood disorder. The doctors told me that they had never seen someone my age (19 at the time) with platelets that low who was still alive. I believe it is by the grace and faithfulness of God that I did not die from my blood disorder before the doctors figured it out.
When I realized I'd missed my anniversary again, I ran into the office to tell Jason. As I was leaving again, I said "Six extra years." He looked at me kinda funny, but that's how I feel about the time. The six years that I wasn't guaranteed were a gift from God. Six extra years. And I still pray that God will use these years He's given me to His glory.
