So much good!
There are so many good things happening right now, that I could just burst. Happiness is wonderful, isn't it? I hope and pray that when times aren't so good, that I can still return to my happy little place on the Internet and remember that there are times for happiness and times for sadness.
Let's do a bullet-point list, shall we?

So now I'm supposed to describe my blog with five things that encompass the philosophy of my blog, then I get to give it to other people! Since this is a relatively new blog, I'm still working on what this is, but here's the main idea: positivity, joy, humor, honesty, and fun!
Now to award it... I'll be honest. I don't read many blogs of people I actually know, and I tend to lurk all the other ones. I don't really comment... and no one really reads my blog. I'm going to try to do better about that this year and not just be the creeper that reads and never comments. So I can really only nominate a couple of people, and one is the person that gave it to me!
Let's do a bullet-point list, shall we?
- My new principal is fabulous. I love her, and I am so excited to work for her in August. This week I went to lunch with my new principal and just got to know her a little bit. She's a wonderful woman and seems genuinely interested in her teachers' lives and their well-being. This is so opposite of some of my previous employers so I'm excited about a boss that will get stuff done and be direct, without being rude or belittling.
- I've been supervising open gym this week up at my old school. I was nervous about it, because I wasn't sure how my kids would react to me leaving. They're sad of course, but they have been so sweet about it. My basketball girls (I was a JV coach last year) are so much fun, and I look forward to watching them play next year. So many of the kids came and hugged me when I walked in. It made me so happy. Maybe I actually did make a difference in their lives in the short year I spent with them. I'll miss them a lot, but I look forward to meeting my new kids and falling in love with them too!
- Summer. I've been on a break from work since the end of May, and I can't tell you how refreshed I feel! I am so very thankful that I am a teacher. I know sometimes people scoff at how much time we get off, but seriously, we need it. I can't imagine doing this incredibly demanding job year round with no break. We honestly put in so much work in the 10 months that we work that it makes up for the whole year.
- Also... my friend Katelyn gave me a bumper sticker for having a blog with substance! Thank you dear! I'm so glad you're back to blogging. ;)

- Katelyn. I love love love reading her blog because it lets me feel as if we're still hang-out friends. I've known her for over five years now (whoa!) and can't imagine not having her in my life in some form. Her blog always has substance, and I love reading about her spiritual thoughts and her updates about school and CF. I'm glad she came back to blogging recently! Oh and most of the blogs I creep on... I found through her links. ;)
- Celina. Her blog is on livejournal, which I used to write on back in high school. Weird. I've known Celina since she started at ACU, and now she's all graduated and married and has a brand new house and a hubby in medical school! I love reading what she posts, be it about Anthropologie, their recent wedding, what she's watching and reading, or anything else. I love this girl and it has been so much fun to see her "growing up" I guess. She's only a couple of years younger than me, but I guess it's just fun to see her go through a lot of the same things that we just went through too.
Aaaaand that's it! I really need to make more blog friends...
